Hi Severin, If you want to find out what the AVI "container" holds - Audio & video. 1. In QuickTime 7 PRO - Open one of the AVI videos that do play on the Recorder. 2. In the Menu bar under Window > Show Movie Inspector 3. Check - Format: Xvid, size?, Millions AC3, 5.1 (L R C LFE Ls Rs), 48,000kHz
