Hi Ronni,

No luck, it behave exactly as before.
I found a zipped copy of the app on a rarely used external and installed from that. Not good. Uninstalled using the app's Uninstall, emptied trash & tried again, and again, with the same results. AppTrap wants to delete all the files pertaining to the app so I agreed, but even then there's no difference. Oh, what a mess.

Cheers, sort of,

James

Hi James,

You have version 3.2.7 installed, just try uninstalling it as per instructions below
And then reinstall version 3.2.7

Empty the Trash on you Mac
Then restart your Mac and hope see if iStat Menus version 3.2.7 works correctly.

Cheers,
Ronni

Re: Istat Menus v 3
Hi Ronni,

Thank you. I'm a little unsure if you mean reinstalling v4 and then uninstalling it, then installing v3 or just installing v3.

Cheers,

James

Hi James,

This is how you should have uninstalled iStat Menus v4

To uninstall iStat Menus:

Istat Menus v 3

Please can anyone suggest why on reinstalling Istat Menus 3.2.7 after deleting v4 the app will load, present a dialogue box requiring the app be upgraded. when this is done none of the sensor buttons will stay in the ON position for more than 3 seconds.

I have deleted the app and emptied the trash and reinstalled from a backup, used AppCleaner to take out associated files, re emptied trash, turned the MacBook Pro off for 5' then reset PRAM and repaired permissions. I've really spent too much time, probably doing the wrong things, but do really like, and have used the app for years.
