Hi Severin, I haven't experienced any battery drain using Dropbox on MBP, MBA, iPad4, iPhone 6 plus.
Are you using the latest version of Dropbox on the MacBook? There was a version of Dropbox that was causing significant battery drain, but a subsequent update fixed it.
