My iMac has a fusion drive (500GB SS, 1T conventional HD) and as part of my normal backup routine(s) I do a scheduled daily clone with Carbon Copy Cloner. This runs at 6.30 each night when I have quit for things like dinner. CC Cloner sends a summary email at conclusion with a full summary of transfer amounts. This typically notes a total transfer of 3 or 4GB or more even after only very minimal Mail and Safari use. To date the transfer has not failed - the total amount on the fusion drive is about 800GB. Is this amount because of the nature of the fusion drive setup and large swapping? or what? Severin Crisp ____________________________________________________
