Hi Bill,

You could try to Disable Voice Control when holding down Home button in iOS 
10.0.2

You enable Siri (in Settings > Siri menu).
In Settings >  ‘Touch ID & Passcode” ’ If you scroll down you will find a 
switch labeled ‘Voice Dial' - switch it to OFF.
Go back to Siri menu and switch ‘Access on Lock screen' to OFF.
