A problem. I look at the Coles and Woolworths grocery catalogues most weeks. I usually use a 2012 iMac for this. This week I cannot open the Woolies catalogue page using the default Safari browser. I get a spinning "wait” icon with message “Loading Page”. OS is High Sierra 10.13.6 with Google search engine. However it does work using Firefox.
Same thing happens using a 2019 iMac using Safari and Google. OS is Mojave 10.14.6, Safari is version 13.0.5. I do not have any other browser installed on this device. If I use Safari > Develop > User Agent to emulate another browser (Firefox or Microsoft Edge) then the Woolies catalogue page opens. There is no change when the iMac is booted in Safe Mode. No problems detected with Malwarebytes or EtreCheck. Experiments with other devices just muddy the waters. iPad 5 with iOS 13.3 and Google will not open the Woolies page either. iPad 2 with iOS 9.3.5 and Bing works ok! Superficially it seems that Google is a common factor. Any suggestions for a fix?
