Hi John. Mine is used to watch movies on Apple TV+. I got 12 months free when I bought my Apple TV (which has now been extended). And I must say there have been some great movies.
But I mainly use it to watch home videos stored on my Mac (in Apple TV). These are movies I have edited myself using iMovie (going back many years). But also to play music from my Apple Music library. My Yamaha receiver and B&W speakers are connected to my TV. If you do not have a smart TV, you can also use it for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Etc. Also for “catch up” on TV stations. IE: iView and so on. In other words it makes your standard TV into a smart TV. I believe some use it for games from Apple Arcade. > On 16 Feb 2021, at 8:25 am, John Thompson <jetj...@optusnet.com.au> wrote: > > Can anyone give me advice on the Apple TV unit, it’s use and advantage. > > Regards > > John Thompson > jetj...@optusnet.com.au > > > > -- The WA Macintosh User Group Mailing List -- > Archives - <http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/archives.shtml> > Guidelines - <http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/guidelines.shtml> > Settings & Unsubscribe - > <http://lists.wamug.org.au/listinfo/wamug.org.au-wamug> Regards, Stephen Chape
