Hi John.

Mine is used to watch movies on Apple TV+.
I got 12 months free when I bought my Apple TV (which has now been extended).
And I must say there have been some great movies.

But I mainly use it to watch home videos stored on my Mac (in Apple TV).
These are movies I have edited myself using iMovie (going back many years).

But also to play music from my Apple Music library.
My Yamaha receiver and B&W speakers are connected to my TV.

If you do not have a smart TV, you can also use it for Netflix, Amazon Prime
Video, Etc.
Also for “catch up” on TV stations. IE: iView and so on.
In other words it makes your standard TV into a smart TV.

I believe some use it for games from Apple Arcade.
