Hi Pete,

OK you bit the bullet.

Being retired, I don’t have the option of employee discount OR tax
deductibility – but even at Officeworks $113 to renew for a year, I reckon I
can afford 30c/day!

$55 sounds like more than a 30% discount – presumable that’s also after the tax
deduction?

Cheers

Neil

Yes, indeed Jewels. The one off license is now $199, I would be up for 1 now
and another soon I suspect, but I eventually decided to go with Office 365
(family - 6 users) but my employer is an MS user and via that as an employee i
am eligible for a 30% ongoing annual discount. So deal is done. Tax deductible
too, so whilst on principle I didn’t want to lock in for ‘life’, it is done -
net cost to me ~$55/annum.

Regards

Pete.

That’s a shame. I think I paid around $165 a year ago for a one off license.

Hi folks again, thanks for responses, I’ve followed up with both of those
vendors and they can provide a Single machine once off installation of Office
but I want a multi user version (they were available previously but it seems
Microsoft has gone to the annual subscription model - with Office 365).

I suppose I am going to have to go the 365 route - for the two of us - as the
kids all have direct access to Office via their school/Curtin Uni associations
so it seems a waste to provide them additional Office access when they already
have it. At $199 per single installation, I’d need two of them.

Hi Pete

I purchased my one off MS Office license from itech. At the time, they were
the cheapest around.

Hi folks, I searched through the archives and couldn’t locate the previous
thread, but I need to buy an updated MS Office license (family pack) for my lot
here.

Can anyone recommend a seller for this - I want the one off purchase not the
annual renewal option?

Thanks in advance.
