Yes folks, WAMUG is still a thing, but following a general consensus
among the few who actually tuned in to the AGM last year, it was agreed
that we should simply continue with the Mailing List and abandon
physical meetings. COVID pretty much put paid to those anyway, if it
hadn’t already been for the ever diminishing attendance levels. During
COVID, and afterwards, we started running monthly meetings on Zoom,
but we never attracted the attendance of much more than the committee
plus two or three others. Personally I would love to see a return to
the glory days when we used too have full meeting rooms, live
demonstrations of software and hardware, guest speakers, etc, but
realistically I have to accept that’s unlikely to happen again. Our
membership is ageing, more reluctant to drive at night (let alone leave
home) and the Msac platform has developed to the stage where there are
   few mysteries left.

I still think there is a good reason for WAMUG to exist, but for the
time being its destiny seems to be as a mailing list only unless
someone with sufficient drive and initiative wants to start it all up
   again.

     High folks.
WAMUG posts seem few and far between these days.
And if I ask a question there are no responses.
Are we still on track ?
