I used 1Password for many years with no problems.

Then a few months ago I upgraded from version 7 to version 8.
That’s when it all went wrong.
I had so many issues that I can’t recall what they all were now.
But eventually after taking advice (several types of advice) from
1Password support, it destroyed my password data file.
I was lucky to have the major ones on a printed sheet hidden away.
I tried to return to good old trusty version 7 but could not make it
   work.
Wish I had never upgraded in the first place.
This all happened not long after I got my new M4 iMac.
Then I discovered that this OS has a Password App built in.
I have been using that ever since and have gradually re-instated all my
   passwords.
I would love to return to 1Password, but I reckon I now have a form of
   PTSD regarding that.

     Hi Rosemary,
I use Duo Mobile myself (Which is free). It keeps all my
authentication I need together in one App. It has some “preset
names” in it already, otherwise you can scan a QR code or enter the
     info for most others.
The only one I’ve seen it not “play nice with” was for Microsoft
logins - Microsoft don’t seem to like other authenticator Apps
except their own. (Haven’t tried it recently, but it was a while
     back it wouldn’t allow others).
You can download it from the App Store here -
     https://apps.apple.com/au/app/duo-mobile/id422663827
I’ve been using it for a number of years and always found it very
good. It has about 20+ ones saved for my things and various
logins/websites. Though thankfully a lot are now going to PassKeys
(which is generally more secure) and handled in the Apple Passwords
     App).
     Kind regards
     Daniel
