The Jakarta Office has successfully rolled-out the ED4 and replace old computers with the new version. As per guidelines, our office will donate the excess old desktops to Nonprofit Organizations, NGOs or Schools in Indonesia. We, therefore would like to ask your help in forwarding this announcement as many as you can to Nonprofits Organizations, NGO or Schools that you work with, and request them to apply for donation of these computers through this web http://www.giftsinkind.org/worldbank.asp. This is the only instrument they can use to apply; all application will go directly to Gifst in Kind -- telephone call or written request directly to the Administrative Unit or to IT Team of Jakarta Office will not be considered. Attached is a PDF version of the application. (See attached file: worldbank_country_offices_ngo_application.pdf) Upon receiving approval from Gifts in Kind, the Jakarta Office will then provide such computers to any organizations with the understanding that all expenses incurred for transporting these equipment will be borne by them. By having many NGOs, Nonprofits Organization or Schools apply for this, it will avoid us distributing large number of old computers just to one or two NGOs only.
