Some time ago Cybersphinx converted the original German RPL videos and German audio files which are available at http://files.warzone2100.de/media/sequences-german-v1.7z (user: warzone2100.de password: ghostintheshell).
Yesterday I talked with pabs3 on IRC about uploading the videos to data.debian.org: <pabs3> I changed the Debian package to use this for now: http://download.gna.org/warzone/videos/sequences-2.2.wz <Kreuvf> It's probably okay ;) <pabs3> it will be a while before the data.debian.org archive is ready anyway <Kreuvf> Are you planning to upload the German sequences as well? <pabs3> now that I know about them, probably <Kreuvf> :) <pabs3> that would of course depend on them being distributed by wz2100.net/gna.org The main question is if the original German translation is owned by Eidos or not. To me it seems that Eidos did in-house translations, so that they should own the rights on the translations. For Germans only: http://warzone2100.de/wz_medien.php#rechtliches A list of all the evidence I found. Summary of that article: Did not find a single hint indicating that somebody else than Eidos owns the rights. Eidos did in-house translations. So, are there any other open questions regarding the German audio and video? - Kreuvf
