The £(pound) sign is _not_ always displayed correctly in Chrome (when 
Websockets forced off (so perhaps the socket.io patch vjrj provided didn't fix 
this always)) -> I have noticed issues with it when running Chrome under both 
Windows + Linux. (Version 17 and a bit)
