Hi,
I tried libinput-master from GIT, I had to apply the patch from
https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/4772/commits/f644a6da7a6f11d20116842e2ce1c7e9c0b0ad64
to fix a failing test, and the library versions went down from the installed
1.5.3.
Pointer movement is a lot better after this, I would say the bug is fixed :)
