Hey Peter,
sorry for not reporting back earlier. I tested the patch but the behavior is
still awkward somehow. Additionally - as I said - my fingers don't get used to
the pre-defined button areas regarding e.g. the border between middle and right
button, I still often find myself closing tabs, switching desktops and more
without intend. Conclusion: I really need to configure my button areas
manually.
So I'm sorry for the noise but it seems libinput doesn't fit my needs. However,
keep up your great work for FOSS community,
