Another problem just popped up that might be related:
If an application (un)maximizes without changing its size (which is a legal
thing to do, especially on unmaximizing weston provides size 0x0 so it's
perfectly valid to just keep the size the window had when maximized), the
actual (un)maximization which moves the window position will not be visible
until the pointer is moved over the main surface.
