--- Comment #2 from Chris Koresko <ckore...@atlanticbb.net> ---
Thanks, Peter. I didn't know dnf could be used that way (passing it the actual
file instead of the package name).

$ sudo touchpad-edge-detector 96x53 /dev/input/event5
[sudo] password for koresko:
Touchpad AlpsPS/2 ALPS GlidePoint on /dev/input/event5
Move one finger around the touchpad to detect the actual edges
Kernel says:    x [0..2000], y [0..1400]
Touchpad sends: x [104..1954], y [125..1426]^C

Touchpad size as listed by the kernel: 95x43mm
User-specified touchpad size: 96x53mm
Calculated ranges: 1850/1301

Suggested udev rule:
# <Laptop model description goes here>
evdev:name:AlpsPS/2 ALPS
GlidePoint:dmi:bvnDellInc.:bvrA25:bd02/01/2018:svnDellInc.:pnLatitudeE7240:pvr00:rvnDellInc.:rn0PRPKP:rvrA00:cvnDellInc.:ct9:cvr:*
