Upgrades can be problematic and commonly are. Each increment will have
packages that are about 6 months newer than the preceding version.
Okay, sending this mail from my sucessful update to 11.10. But I will
instead immediately update atop that to 12.04 before I try anything else.
I had to run unity 2d. 3D tried to run but was abysmally slow on the
noeveau driver.
