They currently contain firmware as of 2013-05-24. I don't know if it's worth noting in this doc page (is it intended to *only* contain instructions for those building from source?) but prebuilt binaries are available at http://raspberrypi.collabora.com/, and are in fact already included on the most recent Raspbian image.
