I have an OLED display and do want the screen to blank from inactivity but NOT be turned off. There is seemingly no easy way to do this, if it's even possible at all, under Wayland.
Coming from Windows, this seems like a pretty basic option that is missing. I know some Linux users have weird ideas about this being some antiquated functionality, but they are flat wrong. There are screens in use today that CAN burn in, and we do not always want the screen to shut off completely. Please take this into consideration. Best, Owen H.
