Nope, two different songs. "Flop-Eared Mule" is the song Andy sings for Mr. Maxwell's folk song album in Mayberry on Record (it begins "used to have an old banjo, was all strung up with twine, and the only song you could hear me sing was 'I wish that gal was mine.' ") Conversation with a Mule is a different song. I don't know how the tune goes, but I found the lyrics on the Internet -- here is the first verse: Old Mule, you're the son of a donkey, and I'm in the image of God, Yet here we work, hitched together, a-toilin' and tillin' sod.
