Here's the hitch: Barney is a new deputy when Aunt Bee comes to stay (1st episode) filmed back in 1960 (I take it might have been set back in 1959 as the Ford they are driving might be '59 or a '60) this says we trained noticers are smarter than the Hollywood crowd LOL BTW on another I noticed.
