Speaking of Mayberry Sightings on the Dick Van Dyke show - and there are many - I don't think anyone has ever mentioned the episode where they were in the office of a magazine called "Odd But True" - sort of a "Ripley's Believe It Or Not" and there in the waiting room was Clara Edwards Johnson sitting with a daschund in her lap that supposedly hadn't eaten a bite of food in years. A man came in with a potato shaped like a duck and the dog immediately ate the head off of the duck potato, thus ruining his record of not eating and also ruining the shape of the duck potato. A very funny episode, but of course not nearly as funny as TAGS nor with as much heart.
