The reason I picked on the spelling of Allan was because if you went to the Mayberry web site and tried to search for the actor you would not have found it if you spelled it with an E. And the reason I picked on the spelling of Aunt Bee is because so many people don't even realize that her name was spelled with two Es. I don't care much how you spell someone's name. I'm used to people spelling Harriet many different ways and I've lived with it all my life. It's not cheating if you learn something by researching. I work crossword puzzles. When I'm completely finished getting every answer I know I then reference a crossword puzzle dictionary to complete the puzzle so I will learn what I did not know. If I just look at the answers tomorrow I might not remember. I'm not in some competition with someone so how can you call it cheating? Just ask the Trivia winners at Mayberry Days if they learned all they know just by watching. I'll bet you a buckeye in your pocket and an upside down owl that they do more than just watch the show to prepare.
Allan Newsome has made a WONDERFUL site. The Bullet/Pocket/Button is posted there, there are games, links to information about the actors, episode breakdowns, links to things like Mayberry Days, where the Dillards are playing, what the actors are doing these days, photos, stencils for carving a pumpkin to look like Barney, etc, etc, etc. There are so many things to do on the web site, I don't know how anyone could pass up the opportunity to view such a site. In the same vein of got time to breath, got time for music - think of this - got time to post a message on the Digest, got time to read a web site. Thanks Allan for making this Digest possible and especially your pride and joy www. mayberry.com. And thanks to the Trivia winners for making us all proud for what you know. And thanks Jim Clark (and Ken Beck) for writing your books. And thanks to everyone else who has ever contributed anything published regarding Mayberry. I guess I'll go to Nashville now..... Harriet, the chicken thief, waiting for her rude ......"Johnny Paul Jason says chewing tar is good for your teeth"..."That's an old wives tale"...."Johnny Paul ain't married"........ _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://mail.wbmutbb.com/mailman/listinfo/wbmutbb_wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
