I don't think Opie paid full attention in Sunday school at the All Souls Church in his youth, especially when Dr. Harrison Everett Breen delivered his 'What's Your Hurry?' sermon in 'The Sermon for Today.' He was too busy looking at that pesky fly and catching it. That young imagination was flourishing before Richard Crenna directed this episode. He had already started peering in the camera when Bob Sweeney was directing and he had his little Super 8 a full year by then. P.S. By the same token Gomer was doing the head bob during the sermon, but you don't see Jim Nabors running into the Louvre in France looking for the Mona Lisa.
