Hal asked if there were any lost episode of TAGS that might be good for his community theatre group to use. Well, there is one lost episode that was for unknown reasons never filmed. It was called "The Wandering Minstrel" and was written for the 1962-63 season. The entire script can be found in Richard Kelly's excellent book, The Andy Griffith Show (1981, John F. Blair Publisher). It's an interesting story of a character who visits Mayberry frequently and Andy gets him to settle down and take a real job in town, only to discover that his happiness is tied to his wandering spirit.
