For all of Earle Hagen's musical success with composing 'Harlem Nocturne', receiving kudos for his work on 'I Spy' and his more complicated compositions, he will always be remembered for a simple whistled 20 second piece- the theme to TAGS. He even made Sousa tunes work in tune (for 'Gomer Pyle USMC') and out of tune (for TAGS' 'The Mayberry Band'). God bless him.
