Enjoyed your post regarding "Sermon for Today", Janet. This has always been
one of my favorite episodes. The interaction between the characters
(especially Barney and Gomer) is great. Some things I always found kind of
strange though:

1- Always seemed odd to me that the drugstore would even be open on Sunday.

2- This one has been mentioned before, I think. Rev. Breen says that as the
choir was singing, he was wondering what message he could bring to the good
people of Mayberry, yet his sermon topic was already posted on sign out front
of the church as everyone went in.

3- Far as I could tell, Rev. Breen never opens the Bible or references any
scripture during his sermon.

A quick question along a similar vein: What hymns were sung on TAGS? Some of
the ones that I remember of the top of my head were "Bringing in the Sheaves",
"Church in the Wildwood", and "There is a Fount (Sinners Lose All Their Guilty
Stains)". I know there were others, just can't remember them right now.
