Nice post, Erin! I often wish I could pack up and move to Mayberry ( and if I have to turn to black and white, that's okay ). I'd probably get a room at the hotel ( as far back as possible) until I found a place. Not sure if Mrs. Mendlebright rents to men and women. Thelma Lou has a nice place - I could find out who she rents from - or maybe find a place in the apartment building where Howard and his mother live.
I have a background in telecommunications, so I would definitely stop by and see Sarah to see if they have any job openings at the phone company.I could also moonight at the diner to make some extra money - if Olive and Juanita need help. Sunday would be reserved for church and I'd bring my earrings in case everyone was wearing them. I could go behind the bushes and put them on. Then after church, I'd pick up a Sunday paper and some jimmie bars and sit out on the porch at the hotel for a while. Then inside for a little tv ( I guess I would have to bring my own ) and a nap. Too bad there wouldn't be a band concert to listen to... Sounds good to me!
