Dewey, I took flying lessons when younger (I didn't get my
license----power-on stalls scared the heck out of me) but I loved it. There is
a world of
difference between flying in a small plane and flying in an airliner. The
small
plane makes you feel as if you are really up there with the birds, noticing
every drift and bump of the wind. The airliner is about the same as riding a
bus. I recommend trying a flight in a small airplane to anybody. It is a real
treat, as Aunt Bee learned.

In the episode where Aunt Bee soloes,I wonder why at first she covered her
eyes when they got off the ground. She also remarked about high they were
flying.
If memory serves me correctly ,she,Clara, and Myrtle had flown to
Mexico. Therefore,I do not understand why she was so apprehensive while Mr.
McDonald was
piloting the aircraft.Just curious.
