I can remember my Mom telling about when she was phone operator before I was
born. I remember when everybody that was on our line phone rang in our
house, it was a different ring for each person so you knew when to pick up.
Also we used to only dial the last four numbers for anyone on our exchange
and then we had to use seven numbers and now we have to dial the area code
and all the numbers, things change.
