This reminds me of an incident that happened to me a few weeks ago. My friend and I were at one of those walk-up Asian food joints in the mall. When my friend was handed her meal, she also received a fortune cookie but I did not. Well, my friend doesn't even like fortune cookies - she just breaks them open, reads the fortune and throws away the cookie. I said to the man behind the counter, "Hey, where's my fortune cookie, she got one and I didn't. Who eats all the fortune cookies around here anyway? I DO!!" That young man just smiled at me weakly and handed me a cookie. I know he thought I was crazy, but I can't tell you how much I amused myself.
