If you are wondering what Abner Peabody looked like, just check out the Andy episode where Opie gets a job delivering groceries for Mr. Doakes. Mr. Doakes is played by Norris Goff, who for 25 years played Abner Peabody on the radio. This episode will be aired on TV Land on Thursday and Friday, 26-27 March 2009. Lum and Abner was one of my favorite radio shows.
