>>>(For the academically/mathematically inclined, the above got me thinking about generating a Lorenz curve and Gini coefficient to describe an individual's TAGS viewing history.)<<<
You know, I've generated Lorenz curves and Gini coefficients to describe how often I use different recipes or how often I wear certain clothing, but I never thought to use them to measure my TAGS viewing history. Thanks Andrew -- I'll have to try that! Okay, I'm taking my tongue out of my cheek now. Actually, I'm not *that* mathematically inclined. I can tell you what the Pythagorean theorem is and describe a bell curve, but I had never even heard of Lorenz curves and Gini coefficients before. So far, none of my Learn-a-Month magazines have been devoted to mathematics, so I'm in the dark. (Boy, I hate it when I'm obtuse!) Now to your questions: >>>1. How do you watch TAGS? a) through television stations only (TV Land, TBS, WGN, local stations) or tvland.com b) through the official Paramount DVDs, public domain episode DVDs, or VHS tapes c) both<<< We have not had any form of television since we moved here nearly six years ago (by our choice), so TV Land is not an option for me, nor are local stations. I used to have all the Columbia House VHS tapes, plus some episodes taped off TV, but now that I have the complete series on DVD, I watch only the DVDs. >>>2. For those who watch on DVD/VHS, how do you choose what episodes to watch? a) I try to watch the episodes in order b) I tend to stick with my favorites c) I just watch whatever I feel like watching on a given day d) I choose at random e) a little bit of everything<<< I generally try to watch them in order so that I'm not missing out on episodes that don't fall into my favorites category, but there are times when I want to watch a particular episode and do that. Also, if someone on the digest mentions a particular episode with a question or some bit of trivia, I will watch it for that purpose. For example, today I'll be sure to watch the episode with Opie delivering groceries so I can check out Norris (Abner) Goff, mentioned by David in another post today (thanks, David!).
