I learned a new word today by reading the digest! Anachronism. Before I thought it was just a mistake, but now I know it was an Anachronism when in the episode where Andy, Goober, Aunt Bea, and Opie go to the new car show in Raleigh and they are standing out in front of the gas station getting ready to leave and a beer truck drives by in the traffic. Not just any beer truck, but a Coors Beer Truck. Since Coors was not sold in the eastern half of the United States till long after the 1960's I guess it was an Anachronism that a Coors Beer Truck was in Raleigh at that time. Definitely out of place in history. I am sure the scene was filmed in Hollywood someplace so nothing unusual about a Coors Beer Truck being there and I am sure at the time no one thought of the fact that there would not be any Coors Beer Trucks in Raleigh North Carolina at that time in history.
