My wife Kathy and I had the wonderful pleasure of spending the evening last Saturday in Greenville, SC with David Browning (aka: The Mayberry Deputy) and his sweet wife Patty (aka: Peg at the Diner). This was David's 4th year to MC the Berea 1st Baptist Churches Talent Show. It was very entertaining and the Berea folks were wonderful. As mentioned in previous Digests, David is a great fellow, who never met a stranger. I had the honor of driving him to the church in my '61 Squad Car. Probably the highlight of the evening was David and the Berea senior pastor, as Sheriff Andy, doing a take off on the "Emancipation Proclamation" bit using the 23 Psalm. It was a riot. If David and Patty are in your area, go see them. You'll be blessed!
