Barney escaped from the vault by busting through the wall into the beauty shop next door (remember, this was while he was dressed up as Mrs. McGruder's cousin). As he's coming through the wall in his dress and hat, a lady (Mary Lansing) looks up from under her hair dryer as though something completely normal was happening and says something like, "Hi, Barney. On a case?"
Then as he's leaving the shop and stripping off his feminine attire, he counters Tom Jacobs' stare by asking, "What's the matter? Haven't you every seen a man take off a dress before??"
