This is like one of those puzzles with the bent nails that it looks like
there is no way to get them apart---but after you study on it a bit,
it's possible.
How did Andy tied the crook to the tree?
1) Andy wrestles the crook to the ground, face down, overpowering
him with his law enforcement training, equal size, and the element of
surprise as he is munching on some bacon.
2) Not having his handcuffs handy, he ties his hands behind his
back..handcuff style..starting with a tight knot around his strong
(presumably right) wrist.
3) He stands him up (with his hands ties in back) and starts to
walk with him. Realizing that this is dangerous, that he could run, or
fall, he decides to change his plan, spotting the large tree.
4) He walks his over to the big tree..perhaps the crook wryly
quips..You're gonna string me up for a jail break??
5) Andy has him kneel facing the tree, as he unties just one of
(his weak) hand, holding firmly to the rope that the other hand of the
crook is still tied to.
6) Andy briskly walks the rope around the tree, and then says
"Stand-up and spread your arms out on the tree" The Crook complies.
7) He pulls the slack, and then ties the other arm to the tree,
making him officially a tree hugger.
So there you have it, Gang..I think that's plausible..don't you?

As for Family visit...
What I like about it, besides what has been said, is that it is
so true to life.
--We miss extended family-until we have to live with them a
short time, and then we're glad for them to go.
--Love life's, and unmarried people are a popular topic-fix-ups
are always possible.
--Sleeping arrangements are always an issue (accept at the
Taylor Home INN)
--We all miss particular comforts of home, and family members
squabble as if they were at home.
--Guests always take advantage..make themselves a little
too "at home"
--If you've got to work..what do you do with the guests--to
keep them out of the way?
--If guests are from far enough away..they can exaggerate their
success, their town's prowess, their friend's beauty, their gas mileage
etc
..but the host is stuck with reality of 'what you see".
--Dads can be big blowhards until asked to prove it..and they
they/we run for cover.
Good points all, great acting, great comedic moments.
