Joe, you were talking about ideas for parties. I know this has nothing to do
with TAGS, but I could see Andy, Barney, etc., etc., playing this and enjoying
it. Someone had a great game at our office Christmas party this year. Some of
you may already know about it.
Items Needed: a pair of dice, 1 pair of small knit gloves-the stretchy kind
that children wear. Boxes, wrapping paper and tape.
Preparation: Wrap the boxes with paper and tape every seam all the way across,
don't leave an open seam anywhere. Don't spare the tape. Then wrap the same
package the same way two more times.
The Game: Have folks sit around a table, 6 - 10 people will be fine. Hand the
dice to one person to start rolling, they roll once and pass it on. When
someone rolls doubles, the must get up, put on the gloves and try to unwrap one
of the packages. While they are doing this the folks at the table continue to
roll, if someone else rolls a double they get up, take the gloves and continue
to try and unwrap the same package. There will be times when someone is still
trying to get the gloves on when someone rolls a double, the gloves and package
get passed on. The person who finally gets the package completely unwrapped
wins.
Prizes can be wrapped inside the box (pack of gum or lifesavers work well) or
you may leave the box empty and give a prize later. Wrap as many boxes as
number of games you wish to play.
Could be fun for adults or kids. Hope someone tries this, we had a lot of
laughs.
