Actually, Andy Griffith was a little irreverent himself when appearing in a skit on Saturday Night Live (SNL) when Ron Howard was host on October 9, 1982. In the "Opie Goes Home" sketch, Andy gave Opie advice and spoke of "smacking Aunt Bee around" a little.
