Oh, he was definitely going back to be with her. Just as the title "Prisoner
of Love" implies, Andy was ignoring reality by following his heart and not
his head. You can see him struggle with it when he's standing outside the
courthouse doors. Besides, wasn't Andy always trying to teach Barney that
you have to sheriff more with your heart and not so much with your head? ;)
