I just watched " to kill a mocking bird" and i know it was fimed mostly on a back lot ,could it have been the same back lot as mayberry was ? No, "To Kill a Mockingbird" along with "The Munsters" were both filmed at Universal. On the "To Kill a Mockingbird" DVD, one of the extra features is a visit to the Universal backlot showing the location of the street they used and commenting how hard it was to keep the California mountains out of the shots to make it appear more like Alabama.
