With the Nov. 16 birth of my second granddaughter, Ellie Sue Meiring, I can now claim my own Mayberry connection. While my daughter will say the new baby was named after her late great-grandmother, I'm saying the baby was named after Mayberry's lady druggist, Ellie Walker. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
