Some people in the younger groups Don't know The Andy Griffith Show and/or Barney Fife but do know Three's company and Mr. Furley so I can understand those groups thinking that Don Knotts is best known as Mr Furley but those are minority groups because Tags is still very popular throughout and even the youngest of children is some groups absolutely know who Barney Fife is. This reply comes from first hand knowing as I am Don's look a-like and I impersonate him to some extent. Don is an every day conversation in my life. Don Knotts is best known for his role as Barney Fife.
