I'd choose the candlestick telephone from Andy's desk. It was the lifeline of the Mayberry community. It's also a gentle reminder of the rural and smalltown world in which I grew up, a pleasant memory of bygone Sarahs who were always on the other end of the line to help us. My Aunt Florence was one of those Sarahs for our little community, and we always knew that we could ring Central (Operator) and she'd be there.
