I had the fortunate opportunity to meet George Lindsay at a Mayberry Reunion in Nashville several years ago. Of course it was a high point for me, several of the cast members were there and I got autographs, Don Knotts and Betty Lynn were there as well. I heard this morning, he wanted to be remembered for making people smile. So we will remember him that way, smiling. Rest in peace and rise in glory, George Lindsay! Always you'll live on in Mayberry USA, I hope our Mayberry friends are creating us all a Mayberry in the sky! See you there, God bless you and your family.
