I don't recall it ever being mentioned here (surely it has been), but Howard McNear had a recurring role on the Burns and Allen show as Mr. Jansen, the plumber. He played a very Floyd-like character. I caught the "September and May" episode on one of the retro stations recently. There's a scene where Floyd, uh, I mean Mr. Jansen and Gracie are talking. It goes pretty much like you'd think! I wish I could find a Youtube video of it.
