Our small town drugstore was opened on Sundays until noon. People would stop on their way home from church to pick up the Sunday papers from the big cities and quite often pick up a half gallon of ice cream which was always wrapped in a newspaper to keep it cold. The only time the store closed on Sundays was when the owners would go to two Green Bay Packer games. Several times they hired me to be on the steps of the drugstore so I could sell the papers to people who stopped in.
