ActorDon Keefer died on Sept. 7 of natural causes in Sherman Oaks, CA, at 
age98.  Mr. Keefer's career included hundreds of roles on stage, in film andin 
television. 
 
Donguest-starred twice on TAGS in its 8th season, and once on RFD.
 
§  In "The MayberryChef” he was Carl Phillips, owner of Siler City’s Channel 
12, who hires AuntBee to host a cooking show. 
§  “Howard’s New Life” sawhim as island resident Mr. Grover, the ex-lawyer from 
Detroit… “Wanna buy aship in a bottle?”
§  In the first season ofMAYBERRY RFD, Don was Mr. McComb, the Mt. Pilot 
prosecuting attorney in “SamGets a Ticket.”
 
TWILIGHTZONE viewers will remember him from the episode "It's a Good Life"when 
he's 'sent to the cornfield' after being turned into a jack-in-the-box bya 
disturbed child played by Bill Mumy.  Keefer was the last surviving castmember 
of the original Broadway production of DEATH OF A SALESMAN.
