I haven't contributed to the digest in a long time. I hope you will forgive me if this subject has been brought up in the past. I have become hooked on MeTV and the old shows of my childhood. Lately, I've been DVRing the old black and white Perry Mason Shows. Many, many of the lesser and extra players from TAGS also appear on Perry Mason. As a matter of fact, on the one I watched last night, fun girl Skippy turned out to have been the murderer in a tear filled court room confession. I've always thought that the same people did the casting for each show. I had that somewhat confirmed the other night when Perry was at an inquest in a small town where the saloon was used as the court room. When they panned the gallery of the room, who was sitting next to the window but Mr. Schwump. I ran it back several time and am sure it was him. I just love seeing those Mayberry actors on Perry Mason. John Masters is often the court clerk, Charlie (or Chuck) O'Malley is often a judge, the guy Earnest T. bashed over the head at Mrs. Wiley's is often seated at the table with DA Hamilton Berger and just the other night Wally from the Fillin Station was the police lab expert. To me, the shows on MeTV are much better than anything produced these days. Harry Brewbaker Salem, VA
